Campsite Pools
More safety and less maintenance for one of the main attractions of a campsite: its pool
The campsite pool is usually one of its main attractions. To prevent it from becoming a real headache for owners or operators, it is essential that the pool is a safe, clean, and healthy space.
This is where Innowater’s salt chlorination and control and dosing systems become fantastic allies, keeping the pool water always in optimal conditions and also greatly reducing the costs associated with its operation and maintenance.
Fewer worries in campsite operations
Thanks to salt chlorination and control and dosing systems, concerns for campsite operators are drastically reduced. Disinfected, quality water with almost no attention required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Campsite Pools
Is an Innowater SMC salt chlorinator suitable for a campsite pool?
The most suitable salt chlorinator models for camping pools are usually the industrial models from the SMC-M and SMC-H ranges. Given the typical size of these pools and their intensive use, models from the domestic SMC salt chlorinator range are likely to fall short in performance.
Is a salt chlorinator sufficient to keep a campsite pool in perfect condition?
If the model is properly sized to the pool volume, yes. In any case, we must not forget the need to monitor pH and redox (ORP) levels in the water. We recommend installing automatic control systems such as the Innowater Monitor controller.
How much salt does a campsite pool need?
Initially, it will depend on the volume of water in the pool. It will be between 4 and 6 grams of salt per litre. Afterwards, you will only need to add more salt, in the same proportion, based on the amount of water that has evaporated from the pool — or in other words, based on how much new water has been added.
Can any campsite switch its pool from a traditional system to salt chlorination?
In our experience, to date we have not come across any campsite that could not make that change.
Do salt chlorinators comply with regulations for pools at tourist facilities?
Yes. Salt chlorinators generate free chlorine, which is the disinfectant required by health regulations. Therefore, they can be used in camping and other tourist accommodation pools, as long as parameters such as pH and chlorine levels are correctly monitored.
