Salt chlorination, tips

The first thing you should keep in mind is that the use of salt chlorination is compatible with any pool lining material. It doesn’t matter if the installation is tile, fiberglass, or liner, as these systems work perfectly in any type of pool. However, regardless of the material you choose, specific care is required to prevent deterioration.

If you choose salt chlorination as the method to treat your pool water, you should follow these tips:

  • Always install your salt chlorinator together with equipment to automatically control and dose the pH of your pool; this way, this parameter will always be at optimal levels that guarantee maximum water quality.
  • The amount of salt present in the water is 0.4%–0.5%, so with our salt chlorination systems we do not damage the lining material, whatever it may be.
  • The salt chlorinator must be in operation for the time necessary to keep the water clean and protect the pool lining material.

Materials for Lining Your Pool

Below we show you the main materials available for lining your pool:

  • Ceramic or porcelain: the most commonly used is tile, which can be found in multiple sizes, colors, and shapes to give the pool an aesthetic touch.
  • Fiberglass: in addition to construction, it is a good lining that is easily installed.
  • Liner: one of the most economical and durable options that adapts perfectly to the dimensions of any installation.
  • Plastic paint: specially designed to be in contact with water, it is the cheapest but least durable.
